The bag has a shoulder strap you can put a book in about A5 format (slightly larger books also work) behind an elastic band. At the bottom of the bag there is a form of ring mechanism where initially 3 "sheets" are where pens are attached sorted with elastic bands on both the front and back. It is refillable.
