Description
I don't see it as being quite as long-lived as previous reviewers
(from parcels in Les Renardes
From a parcel planted in 1964 and vinified entirely in oak
There is so much underlying material that this could very well surprise to the upside if given at least 6 to 8 years of cellar time
I have had wildly disparate experiences with this wine that have ranged from 89 to 95 points
Poggio Antico, Brunello Montalcino Altero Vintage:2015 I don't see it asFeaturing black cherry, black currant and dark plum flavors, this red is intense and broad shouldered. Big tannins line the finish, yet this remains fresh, finding equilibrium in an oversized way. Best from 2023 through 2040. 1,250 cases made, 500 cases imported. Published on June 30, 2020
