Description
high-acid vintage
My only real criticism of Roederer is the estates insistence on using lot numbers that resemble missile launch codes in their complexity
but this is one example where the younger generation is building on past success by taking things to an entirely new level
Similar in style to a lighter-weight 2010
The 2008s show a work in progress as Conterno only had control of the vineyard for a few months that year
de Montille, Volnay Champans Vintage:2012 high-acid vintage(50% whole clusters). A much earthier mix of red and dark currant, violet and discreet herbal tea nuances slides into the supple lighter weight flavors that are a bit more elegant than usual, all wrapped in a nicely complex and persistent finish. This is certainly good but 2017 is not a great vintage for this wine. (89 92) 2025+
