Description
using natural yeasts both for the first and second fermentation
all wrapped in a subtly stony and sneaky long finish
chiseled and lemony finish
though the drought in 2016 means that there is slightly less Cabernet Franc
This is notably ripe with a completely different aromatic profile that is distinctly floral and sauvage along with plenty of earth nuances to the dark berry fruit liqueur suffused nose
Jean-Michel Gerin, Cote Rotie Champin Seigneur Vintage:2010 using natural yeasts both for(includes roughly 10% viognier), Bright purple. Aromas of candied dark fruits, cola and woodsmoke, with a spicy overtone. Brighter red fruits appear on the palate, which offers an array of spicy berry flavors, seamless texture and very good energy. Finishes spicy and sweet, with a late note of violet and excellent focus. Josh Raynolds
