Description
This is both more aromatically restrained and more elegant than the Clos de la Roche with its reluctant nose of rose petal
fresh and even cool yet ripe liqueur-like red and black currant aromas that are liberally sprinkled with sauvage
Note that this has already begun to shut down and while the future is indisputably bright it’s clear that this is going to require a very long snooze in a cool cellar
Big and powerful
this is an outstanding 2010 Saint-Julien
Matrot, Meursault Perrieres Blanc other_regions_australia This is both more aromatically(from a . 52 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines located next to the famed Clos des Perrires). Impenetrable reduction overwhelms the underlying fruit today. Once again, the mouthfeel of the strikingly intense medium weight flavors is super sleek while brimming with minerality on the explosively long finish that is akin to rolling small pebbles around in the mouth. I was seriously impressed with the potential of this equally classy and refined effort.
