The outside is 10" square and the inside opening is 6. 25''x 6. 25". Please note that they are made from reclaimed lumber and expect rustic characteristics and slight size variations. Also the joint are also glued to make them stronger. You may have to touch up with paint to cover it. Sometimes I use black and brown and "dry brush."
