RUC Service Medal (GC) Category_ Miniature World War II A second award bar ornamentedThe RUC Service Medal was awarded to full time members of the RUC for 18 months continuous service since 1 January 1971. Following the award of the GC to the RUC in 2001 thin blue stripes were added to the edge of the ribbon to designate the award. All holders were to change to the new ribbon.
