This chic wallpaper pattern was discovered in one of the oldest terraced houses in Maddox Street, Mayfair, built around 1715. The wallpaper, we'll call it Maddox, comes from the front room on the second floor, which was probably a bedchamber. It was a real treasure hidden under 17 layers of wallpaper and dates back to around 1810, maybe even a little earlier. The Blue Dusk color combination features blue stripes.
