The name derives from the Talisker House estate, a few miles west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960 that almost destroyed the entire distillery, Talisker was rebuilt true to the original a few years later. Skye's stunning scenery attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom delight in the distillery's peppery, smoky single malt. Talisker Dark
