The bowls are stackable with a handle and pouring spout. To aid the mixing process each bowl has a rubber ring integrated into the stand to resist movement. Developed in 1935 the melamine resin was used because of its enormous strength, high heat resistance and food safety a much used kitchen helper to this day.
